DOG DAYCARE AND BOARDING


Policies and Procedures:

All dogs must be under 25lbs, complete a meet and greet, behavioural/health assessment a minimum of two weeks prior to commencement of daycare or boarding. Two weeks notice is also required for booking meet and greets.
Meet and greets will be scheduled between the hours of 12pm-4pm, Monday to Friday. This allows me to observe your dog's interaction with my other doggy clients.
Current vet records must be provided at the time of the meet and greet.
All vaccinations/titer tests must be up to date.

***All new boarding clients must fulfill a trial overnight stay a minimum of two weeks prior to requested boarding period*** This overnight stay is complimentary.

Dogs showing any signs of aggression toward humans, dogs, toys, food or otherwise will not be admitted into our facility.

All bedding and toys are provided, we do not allow these items from home to prevent resource guarding.

When bringing food or prepared meals for your dog, ensure they are in a sealed container labeled with your dogs name and feeding instructions.

Flea/tick/heartworm medication must be given between the months of May to November and proof of this must be provided (a copy of the vet receipt will be sufficient). No flea collars.
Payments are due daily unless you have made arrangements for prepayment. Payment only in cash or email-transfer are accepted.
Dogs must be on a leash upon entering daycare. Please wait until staff let your dog into the main area.
Retractable leashes are not used due to physical hazards.
During the morning intake period we are unable to let the dogs outside to potty, therefore please allow your dog to have a pee or poop break before entering Lead the Way.
Please ensure your dog has a flat collar with ID and rabies tags.
You will be required to go through the process of administering any required medication whether it be oral, topical or subcutaneous.
To use our daycare or boarding services, we require a valid credit card # be left on file for emergencies.

24 hours notice is required for cancellation of a scheduled day care visit.
Late pick up fee is $5 per half hour per dog.
A 50% Deposit is required for future dated pre-booking of extended visits to hold a place for your dog including Christmas season boarding. If for any reason you cancel your reservation within 20 days of the date of the scheduled stay, we will retain 30% of this deposit. If you cancel your reservation within 10 days of the scheduled stay, we will retain the full deposit.
Often dogs can receive nicks and bruises which is commonplace during playful interaction with other dogs. Owners will be advised of these types of nicks and scratches at pick up time. Although we do provide a safe environment, these situations can arise and we will take steps to care for these.
